For over two years, my sole purpose on Newgrounds has been to spam and piss off the majority of its users. I found great pleasure in this activity. I invested my time in making shitty loops and pointless animations, making movies for groups such as the Lock Legion, etc. But that's all gotten old. I want to begin animating real movies, with deep characters, well thought-out scripts, and professional dialogue. I've spent far too long making 30-40 second piles of crap. From now on, I am here to help out with the Newgrounds community. I want to do all I can to help out with the site. Honestly, when it comes down to it, I love Newgrounds. This place has done so much for me, and I've done so little. Newgrounds brought me into the world of computer animation, and introduced me to many great people who have helped me over the years. I want to return the favor.

I'm gonna start by working on the The Lock Legion series. The first episode was just spam, which I submitted just to annoy whoever watched. I plan to fully drag out this series to the point where it could be considered one of the best on Newgrounds. I've begun writing out a script for it, and considering who would do voice acting. I'm drawing out character models and backgrounds. I've even begun tinkering around with 3D animation! It's going to be about Jujube and his struggle against an oppressive society of over-controlling Locks. It won't be all serious, though. I'll be sure to throw-in some one liners in there for ya! :D

Hopefully, I can erase the horrible footprint I've left on this website and start fresh! I'd also like to thank the wondeFUCK ALL OF YOU I CAN'T STAND YOU FAGGOTS JESUS CHRIST STOP SAYING OH MAN YOU HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL WHY DO YOU MAKE THIS KIND OF GARBAGE FUCK STOP TO CONSIDER THAT MAYBE I LIKE MAKING THIS KIND OF GARBAGE BURN IN FUCKING HELL FAGGOTS JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

Today is Ban Day folks (as in 10/25)! The Lock Legion membership is going to be putting together great flashes for you today (technically tomorrow depending on time zone). I'm sure you will see plenty of great movies, or else a lot of members will get banned.

Ban Day is a mandatory flash production day for locks with a punishment of banishment if they don't produce, so please enjoy their hard and pseudo-coerced work. :D

I decided to use this front post feature to promote some great flash that came out of the Lock Legion this week (www.locklegion.co.uk). The first piece I am showing is from one of our up and coming artists, Dr. Seven, who made his first lock flash:

I thoroughly enjoyed the character design and the animation. It has a simple yet effective feel that is reminiscent of a Don Hertzfeld film. While the audio may be difficult to understand at times, it is nice to appreciate for pure art sake; its black and white appeal is accented with a minimal use of color to express emotion, almost like the Red Balloon in a way. I recommend it to those with artistic taste.

Also, in Lock Legion, Lemming has submitted a collection of funny shorts that you are sure to enjoy:

Lemming utilizes colors effectively to add to the richness and uniqueness to the represented lock characters. With his unique artwork, he gives each lock character a certain flair and puts his own style in representing his twist on each individual's personality and veneer. This flash is great for those who enjoy art or quick wit.

Finally, Lollerskates, one of those subculture characters of lock legion who is not actually a "lock" per se, made a non-animated flash giving his own twist on lock culture. For those who like sardonic wit and loud humor, this is definitely a flash for you:

Thanks for watching lock films, and keep your eye out over the upcoming weeks for some of the pending Lock Legion collaborations.

Post in this thread if you are sad that you aren't worthy enough to make a front page post. ;_;

EDIT: Apparently I can make front page posts, funny that.

I submitted this flash in a philosophical preponderance of what constitutes a flash. I originally made "What is a flash?" in order to question underlying assumptions of a flash, but I question whether my current piece is seemingly contradictory of those original propositions. So is this piece like a Magritte or is it playing an ironic play of Magritte to further an underlying point in my previous flash "What is a flash?" Or could it even be a concurrence yet expansion of the underlying philosophy posed in previous works that was implied but nearly invisible until directly rooted out?

Magritte-esque or not Magritte-esque?

To all those who don't know me, my name is Jujube Lock, maker of such flash films; Avoiding Blamnation (HNT). I've been busy with law school lately so I haven't been able to make the films that gave me recognition back in 2004 (i.e. the HNT series), but I was able to submit 0.1 KB. This film is in reference to the minimalist movement, which is associated with such people as John Cage. I feel with the cliche plot lines of today's bourgeois flash has taken away from true artistic vision. However, since Newgroundites found it appropriate enough to save this flash of mine http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/

I feel that Newgrounds is moving more towards a new movement of pressing boundaries and introversion. Hopefully, you can all appreciate this work of art, and ponder what 0.1 KB represents.
